LC135 AS A SPORT

Hello, and welcome to THE MOTOR. Today I would like to talk about Yamaha LC135 as a sport. Who say that motorcycle is not good and give harm? Actually, it is in our mind set itself. As you can see in the video that I include, the Yamaha lc135 being use as a medium of sport to encourage the youngster from involving in the illegal race. This video was taken at Muar, Johor during the CubPrix tournament. The average age of the participants is 15-25 years old. It is also a way to sharpen your skills of a motorcycle. Before I proceed further, I would like to tell you a little bit about Cub Prix. Cub Prix tournament exists in 1994. The concept is to create a motorsports championship that was accessible to people from all walks of life. So that's why on this day, Cub Prix is a legal race that brings the excitement of motorcycle racing to everyone. During the tournament, Cub Prix's has visited every major town and city in Malaysia. Usually, the season for Cub Prix consists of 10 rounds beginning in late March and last round would be in December.

"Revs your heart", that is the slogan for Yamaha company. Despite the roughness and tough of the Yamaha lC135 it is also beautiful just the way it is. Me as the user of Y135LC also proud to have the bike.

Auto Show

Recently when there is an event that involving the motorcycle, there MUST have the Yamaha lc135 as the participants of the event. Why do people like to choose lc135 as the model for auto show? Lc135 has the unique design of the motorcycle itself. The shape of the frames, the design, the aura and others. If you can see in any of the auto show, the way the person decorate their motorcycle during the auto show make it look interesting as well as attractive. Adult nor kids always like to see the Yamaha lc135 when there is an auto show. Lets us take a moment to see the above picture during the auto show at Putrajaya past few year. Thank you Ali Paintwork because let me borrow your picture.

How do you feel? Awesome right? Actually to make your motorcycle beautiful is not hard as long as you have the $ everything can be done haha. Apart from that auto show is the event where the cars, motorcycle, scooter and many also do participate. Usually, the auto shows event being held under some event to attract the youngster to visit the event. As for me always dream to participate in the autoshow..aahh... I wonder if one day does exist..haha.. until we meet again. see ya.

THE CUSTOMIZATION

Hello, welcome to the motorcycle blog THE MOTOR! Today I have the most interesting part of this blog. Alright as I state in the previous topic THE MODIFICATION, now I would like to introduce to all of you to the world of CUSTOMIZATION. Apparently the customization is not legally allowed in the street use, but then it also depend on how you customize your motorcycle. First of all, what is the customization? The customization is you change the original part of the motorcycle, to something that you look it is interesting. For example, you replace the original side mirror with others trendy side mirror such as Racing Boy brands or you install the accessories like radio, light, additional light and others. Alright before I proceed more about the customization, I lovely would you like to watch this video first

Now, how did you feel? What? Do You want to do like that? Yes, you can do whatever you can to you motorcycle as long as you have money hehe. The customization is the way you want to show-off you bike or for certain people to show that you are the best. What makes me feel attractive to have the y135Lc is the beauties of the bike itself. Many of auto show that goes, I see a lot of y135lc participate in it. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. There is also the standard customization which means you still look different with others, but then it still looks like the standard model. That is the customization to x1r model. What is that x1r? x1r is the model that very limited that produce in Thailand and Indonesia only. So then for those who have this kind of customization is pretty well lucky.

I did not have a lot to say for this entry, but I do have a lot of picture for you guys in order to customize you love to bike. Until we meet again. Later

THE MODIFICATION

Hello, and welcome back to the blogspot of the motorcycle, The Motor. Alright, have you seen the video that I include on this side? Interesting right? Only need for 30 seconds to reach to 180km/h. But this is the only standard modification that has been done to the Yamaha Lc135. Oh yeah, I almost forget. In this entry, I will touch a little about the modification of Yamaha Lc135. There are three stages of modification of the Yamaha lc135. First is what we call the beginners modification, second is the standard modification and the third the full modification. So what is that three of the modification that makes the different of the motorcycle? Ok, let me explain for you guys one by one step of modification of you need to know.

1. The beginners modification
This is the earlier of modification. In this stage modification usually for those just about interesting to make their motorcycle faster a little bit. Alright, first of all at this stage the thing that usually people do is change the CDI (capacitor discharge indicator). Why must change the CDI first? This is because the standard CDI limit only for 8000rpm. That's mean the power that supposes to be more can not reach because the Yamaha follows the safety that has been giving to them. But for us who does not like it standard just ignore the safety and go faster than the wind haha just kidding. Alright the CDI that I recommended for the beginners to try is the BRT DUALBAND. Next, what you have to do in the beginners modification is change the exhaust to racing exhaust. The change of exhaust is to allow the breath taking from the engine to be release quickly as well as the response from the motorcycle also fast. Lastly, the important thing to modified is the sprocket. This is the hardest part because even you already in full modification stage it is hard to fix the sprocket with the engine. So try and error is important.

2. The standard modification
This stage is the connection from the first stage. All you have to do is just modified the block. Block play the main part for the modification of Yamaha Lc135, without changing this part you will never go faster than you expected. The standard block of y135lc is just 54mm. So make it big and faster, you can change it to 57mm, 62mm or 63mm. Just change this part you already can feel how fast your bike could reach. Apart from that, the changes of carburetor also play the role of it, whereas the carburetor helps the flow of the wind intake to release. The carburetor that you suppose t o use when modified is larger than the standard such as 28mm,30mm. But no matter how fast you are please beware because your life can not be buy back.

3. Full modification
This stage of modification is the ultimate modification. It is usually being used for racing only. From what I know, at this stage level, the bike are fully modified and not using factory standard item anymore. The gearbox, the carburetor, the block and others. I can not explain a lot of this because I also just in the standard modification. Hehe. But you can visit this blog to know more about the modification of Y135LC - laicioutmeter.blogspot.com

3. SPECIALITIES OF YAMAHA LC135

Hello, and welcome back to The Motor. I am aware that you have known a little bit about the Yamaha LC135 right? Ok, for this entry I would like to show the specialities of Yamaha LC135. First of all the specialities of the Yamaha lc135 from other moped motorcycle is the liquid coolant engine. Unlike others moped, LC135 come with liquid coolant engine that helps to prevent from overheat and also reduce the heat in the engine. Next, the 4-valve water-cooled engine. It is so interesting that this 'kapchai' have 4 valve types. Ok to make you understand more about the 4 valve water cooled engine, I take a statement from 'yamahabike135lc'. According to 'yamahabike135lc, the 4 valve engine configuration provides better volumetric efficiency compared with other 4-stroke moped models which use 2-valve engine design, enabling the engine to produce higher torque at high rpm. However the engine displacement of 135cc limits the ability of air-cooling system while retaining the small kapchai design at the same time, therefore, water-cooling system which has the better cooling efficiency which has better cooling efficiency is used.  Alright for this entry I just give a small explanation about the specialities of Yamaha lc135. I will give you a lot more information about the specialities and also the modification of lc135. See ya.

Here I include some of the specification from the brochure:

2.3 Yamaha LC135 version 4

Olla, welcome back to The Motor. Ok, Today I would like to press about the new Yamaha LC135 that has been released in February 2016. Actually, it is the only rumour that Yamaha wants to produce a new type of LC135, but surprisingly it is true! The new LC135 or in Malaysia we call that LC135 v4 (version 4) available with three new colour schemes that are red, white and blue. Apart from that with the white paint scheme coming with wheels in a contrasting shade of red.

For me what make it is more interesting is the LED pilot lights that being installed at the rear carrier. The old model does not have the LED pilot lights, that makes it look gorgeous. Besides that the new LC came with a revised rear light design that incorporates a new high-mounted brake light and grab-rail. It is also a part of safety for the user as the percentage of motorcycle rider death increase year by year. So, Yamaha is aware of the motorcycles users safety so they have created the additional safety to prevent unexpected tragedy to happen. To follow the modern and trendy style, Yamaha also includes the chin visor for the new LC. Unlike the old model, the new LC also look more stylish and trendy suitable with the teenagers styles. Apart from that, the engine capacity and others remain same with the old model. A 135 cc liquid-cooled single cylinder that puts out 12 hp at 8,500 rpm. Torque is 11.8 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

But what makes me unsatisfied is the new LC only come in super sport or in another hand there is no more hand clutch type for the LC users. Yamaha does not produce the extreme spirit model anymore as it is to give a way for the 150cc model that is Yamaha RC150 also known as LC150 (only in Malaysia call that because too many version of LC). And after all the new LC only available for Fi and not more using carburetor as the main part of the motorcycle. Last but not least the old model the extreme spirit model now become rare as it is no more being produced. So, LC v2,v3 user please be aware with your motorcycle as the rare one will be the one that targeting to be stolen.

2.2 Yamaha LC135 version 2/3

Hello, welcome back. As I said before this in the previous topic that LC135 came up with 4 version. So, in this topic, I want to focus on the LC135 version 2 and 3. What had the different? What the upgraded that have been made? What are the new design and so on? The lc135 v2 still maintain using the DiASil (die-cast aluminium cylinder) which has better heat conductance to dissipate excessive heat easily. Apart from that the radiator also being improved to from small to big radiator. It is a good improvement as the LC135 before this (version 1) always overheat and caught in some engine problem. So, Yamaha has found the way to overcome the problem.

Next the new lc135 v2 also use the lighter forged piston technology that adapted from Yamaha R6. By the same time, it also helps the performance and torque of the engine to ensure the motorcycle can reach the top speed without any problem. In the other hand the lc135 version 1 also having a problem with their rocker arms. Yamaha has improved the rocker arm for the lc135 v2 by using the roller bearing rocker arms with less friction than typical rocker arms.

This lc135 using the MIKUNI VM22 carburetor with throttle position sensor and accelerator pump. The MIKUNI VM22 carburetor equipped with throttle position sensor for more precise ignition timing, increasing the engine's efficiency, and also accelerator pump for better acceleration and instant the engine's efficiency, and also an accelerator pump for better acceleration and instant response during take-off. The new improvement also includes the disc which it has been install front and rear. Unlike before this model, the disc only places at the front. But then the dual-piston disc brake only include for Yamaha lc135 extreme spirit in Malaysia. It is also same with the spotrim that came with tubeless tires. Lastly, I'm focusing on the body design. The lc135 v2 came with new body design and it also follow the diamond type for the frame. The new design of v2 came with variable colour. But for the special model that is GP model, it come with more attractive design and limited on for 5000 units. GP model only produces in 2011,2012,2013 and 2014. The new design also appears with the unique 'eagle eye' signal, the headlamp, the splash guard, the sport rims and etc. What makes the lc v2 and v3 different is only the signal. For lc v3 the signal is no more like 'eagle eye' but then it is like euro specification that is orange and more big from earlier.

2.1 Yamaha LC135

Hye, welcome to The Motor blogs. And for this second entry, I would like to introduce to all of you the main topic of this blog that is The Yamaha Y135LC. Why I choose this moped motorcycle? It is simple answer. Because I have this bike and also I love this bike. The Yamaha Y135LC has debuted in 2005 for Thailand and Indonesian market before brought in Malaysian market in February 2006. The Y135LC was designed by the headquarters of Yamaha Motor Company in Japan for Asian market. The model was very successful in Southeast Asian especially in Malaysia. Oh ya, as far as I know the Yamaha Y135LC also reach the euro market that is Greek and Japan itself. But if you can see the most successful selling of the Y135LC is from Vietnam. Moreover the Vietnam peoples like use moped motorcycle as their transportation for their daily life.

For your information, the y135lc has their own name based on their country. The Yamaha Spark 135i, or Yamaha T135 is the origin name for the motorcycle. Meanwhile, in Philippines and Vietnam, it got a lot of name but most of the user call it Yamaha Sniper. In Indonesia, it is known as Jupiter Mx and lastly, in Malaysia itself just use the origin name that is Yamaha LC135.

Next in 2008, Yamaha has upgraded the lc135. The new lc135 also known as LC v2 or version 2. The upgraded part is from the cover set, the engine, and also the performance. The lc135 v2 come with many colours such as red, black, white and others. It also comes with limited edition version Grand Prix. It is to follow the model of GP Yamaha that is Valentino Rossi. The new lc135 came with new signal that designed like eagle eyes, big tyre, disc brake, and others.

In 2016, Yamaha Motor has launched new version of lc135. The new lc135 now changed a lot from the 2008 model, but then it has upgraded with Euro specification. The signal is more like a naked bike, the design is more attractive and also, the new Yamaha lc135 does not use carburetor as the a part of an engine. They have replaced it with fi (fuel injection) which mean it is more effective to the motorcycle and also can save oil.

1. YAMAHA

Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd is one of the most popular motorcycle manufacturing companies in the world, owning an impressive number of bikes distributed all around the world. Yamaha was founded in 1955 by Genichi Kawakami. Suprisingly in the same year, Yamaha has launched their first motorcycle that named YA-1 that equipped with 125cc engine and 2 stroke type.

To prove that Yamaha built a very high-performance motorcycle, they has participate in the Mount Fuji Ascent race with their first present motorcycle that is YA-1. What make it more interesting, Yamaha has won the 125cc class of the Mount Fuji Ascent race. Next in 1955, the company won the first three places of the All Japan Autobike Endurance Road Race in the 125cc class with the same YA-1 model.

In 1956, Yamaha has produced their second model motorcycle named Yamaha YA-2. Suprisingly, Yamaha's YA-2 won the prestigious “Good Design” award which underlined the fact that Yamaha's YA series provided some of the best motorcycles of that time.

Time by time Yamaha improve their performance. In 1960 the Japanese company introduced its first outboard engine dubbed P-7. Moreover, one year later, Yamaha steps into World GP but also into the well-known Isle of Man TT race where it took the 6th place.

Since Yamaha had an impressive growth, the company planned an impressive expansion in multiple countries of the world, mostly based on new offices and dealerships. For instance, in 1964, the company founded Siam Yamaha Co. in Thailand while 4 years later, it opened the Dutch office.

In 1970, Yamaha rolled out its first 4-stroke engine, dubbed XS1 but it also continued its impressive expansion by opening a new office in Brazil.

Getting back to the company's motorcycle manufacturing process, in 2007, the total number of motorcycles produced in Thailand reached 10 million units.

Introduction

1.1 History of Motorcycle

Hello and welcome to The Motor. In this blog, I will review a little bit about the motorcycle. As I not the expert, so I also need your opinion if I do a mistake during my explanation. I also take a few website as reference. The history of motorcycle begin when Sylvester Howard Roper built a steam-powered bike in 1868. Actually the concept of motorcycle came from the "safety bicycles with front and rear wheels with the same size and also with pedal crank mechanism to drive the bicycle. The motorcycle that Howard made is not powered by a gasoline engine, but then by a steam engine. It was demonstrated at fairs and circuses in the eastern US in 1867. Though it is not catch on, but then it is the most modern motorbike features including twisting-handgrip throttle control at that era.

Then in 1869, Howard upgrade his motorcycle. It's powered by a charcoal-fired two-cylinder engine that connecting rod to drive a crank on the rear wheel. According to Totalmotorcycle, The machine predates the invention of the safety bicycle by many years, so its chassis is also based on the "bone-crusher" bike. "Bone-Crusher's" appeared around 1800, used iron-banded wagon wheels, and were called "bone-crushers," both for their jarring ride, and their tendency to toss their rider.

Year by year of the improvement of the motorcycle, in 1895, DeDion-Button produce an engine that totally revolutionize the motorcycle. I take a statement from a howstuffworks websites said that he engine of DeDion was a small, light, high-revving four-stroke engine that could generate half of a horsepower. Even tough he used the engine in its motorcycle, many of motorcycle manufactures around the world copies and use the design.

In 1895, DeDion-Buton introduced an engine that would revolutionize the motorcycle industry by making mass production possible. The DeDion-Buton engine was a small, light, high-revving four-stroke engine that could generate half a horsepower. Although DeDion-Buton used the engine in its motorcycles, motorcycle manufacturers around the world copied and used the design.

American production motorcycles were also based on the DeDion-Buton engine. The two most famous American motorcycle manufacturers to incorporate the DeDion-Buton engine, however, were the Indian Motorcycle Company and Harley-Davidson.

Year by year motorcycle being involved until nowadays many of motorcycles not just being use for transportation instead for racing, touring and others. Many of company also produce a lot of motorcycle with different specification, engine, specialities and others. The big company that create their name in the entire world is Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki, Harley Davidson, Ducati and others. But in this blog I' focusing on Yamaha because the company get a big reputation in Malaysia as well as the number 1 chosen motorcycle company.
